today we will be exploring the central area of siargao island in the philippines, heading to magpupungko beach and tidal pool.

Magpupungko beach is located around 40km away from general luna, so if you ride by scooter it will take you around 45-60 minutes drive through villages and through countryside. On arriving to magpupungko beach you will need to pay 20 pesos parking fee if you got here by scooter.

As you walk up to the reception gate you will have to pay 50 pesos each to enter. The guy on reception will tell you when low tide is because they will not let you swim to far until low tide as the current is strong.

To get to the tidal pools / rock pools you will need to walk through some shallow water which has a lot of rocks around so be sure to bring water shoes withyou. There are 2 rocks you can climb and jump off. It does however get a little touristy here as everybody is waiting to access the tidal pool.

along magpupungko beach there are a lot of shops to eat and drink at with shelters so you can escape the sun. So you can stay here all day and have everything you need right here. The sand is really nice and is a awsome place to relax while in siargao.

We highly recommend coming to magpupungko in siargao island.
